A Beautiful Quilt

My daughter goes to a wonderful parent participation elementary school.  This weekend will be the annual auction to raise money to help with programs that our school district can't fund.  I have been occupied since my last post with making our class project (pictures below).  All the children from the class are represented on the tie-knot quilt with their handprint and their first name.  Now with the blanket done and turned in I can focus my attention back on my store and get some new items made and posted for the upcoming holidays.

4 New Invites

Finally a moment to share my new invites!!!  I had started these in the beginning of August and finally have them finished and up on Etsy.

Let's start with my simple but cute bear invite.

My daughter is 100% in love with Mickey Mouse and so for her 3rd birthday these are the invites I made and now they are in my store.

Avast!! Me Hearties,  come join us as we chart yer course to the next birthday party bash! This double sided pirate invite is sure to be a hit with your treasure hunting pirate.

My last invite also double sided, was only possible with the help of my friend, Shelby Young, who provided me with the beautiful illustration of the mermaid that adorns the front.
Thanks Shelby!

All these invites are made to order and personalized with your parties information.  They can all be found at Tosia's Paper Heart at Etsy.

YAY!!! It came!!

I am a bit late posting but I got my scarf SUPER quick and the second my daughter saw it, it was no longer mine.  She is 100% in love with it and has not taken it off since I (she) got it in the mail and that's saying a lot since it's been in the upper 90's!  So, I wanted to say thank you again to Kabibi Mai and add a pic or two of my diva wearing it.

Good start to the week

I woke up early Monday morning (before the kids) so that I could enjoy a cup of coffee and read my emails in peace.  Looking past all the "payment due" emails I spot one from Kabibi Mei.   It read
"Tosia! You are my winner!!".  It was the perfect start to a new week!  Now I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the scarf!  YAY ME!!

Here is a pic of the scarf I won!

Ugh... August!

It's been a long 3 weeks and I have nothing new in my store! Don't get me wrong, I have at least 4 invitations three quarters of the way done but I have not had any time to finish them!  August is and always has been a very busy month for us.  Starting on the 4th with my mothers birthday, my parents anniversary follows on the sixth, my husbands birthday is on the 16 closely followed by my daughters on the 18 with a birthday party on the 20!  If that was not enough.... my dad is has been on the east coast since February and surprised all of us with a visit in the beginning of the month.  It was so nice to have him back even if it was just for a week.  We are all planning to relocate to the east coast so while he was here my mom and dad got the ball rolling on getting the house on the market.  If I only knew how much work that was going to be for me!!!  We re-landscaped the front with rocks, started packing all the things we want to keep and getting rid of the things that we did not.  We started to paint all the rooms (we meaning me) and staging them for the open houses.  At the same time my brother was accepted to a university on the east coast and we rushed to get him packed and ready to move.  Needless to say my daughters birthday was bitter sweet with her uncle leaving right after the party.  Not to mention the little attitude I'm getting from my daughter who is trying to adjust to school life again....
We are at the end of the month finally and I thought I would have some sort of peace and quiet but it seem that the year is already in full swing and I  just need to jump in with both feet.

Anyone out there have any suggestions on getting organized.  I have sooooo much going on that I feel overwhelmed.  Would love some ideas!

Cute Cookie Invite!

I had received the book "Interactive Cards" by Annie's Attic from a friend who knows I love interactive cards.   I fell in L O V E with the a hinged card that was designed by Melanie Muenchinger. I really liked the cuteness and the simplicity of the design and I thought it would make a very cute invitation for a birthday party or for a cookie exchange party.  I am not big on making cards but love to make invitations and this card grabbed my attention!

All that is needed is the outside of the cookie, a decorative front with a cute sign and the inside of the card that will hold all the invite information.
Once assembled, here is what the front looks like.
As you swing the front of the card upwards, here is what you will see.
Last but not least, all the way open.
This invite is totally cute and functional!!  I am sure that if you are sending it or receiving it you will be totally happy!
